What are the effects of too small aspect ratio of spinneret?
Too small length-diameter ratio of spinneret will lead to poor flow of polymer in spinneret process, which will affect the forming and quality of fiber. Specifically, an excessively small aspect ratio can cause the following problems:
1. Poor polymer flow
When the length-diameter ratio of the spinneret is too small, the flow speed of the polymer in the spinneret process is slow, which is easy to form problems such as poor flow, fracture and particle blockage. This not only affects the forming of the fiber, but also leads to problems such as the non-uniformity of the fiber and the decrease of the breaking strength.
2. Insufficient crystallization
When the polymer flows in the spinneret, crystallization behavior occurs. When the length-diameter ratio is too small, the flow rate of the polymer is slow, which is easy to cause insufficient crystallization. This will lead to incomplete crystallization of the fiber, reduce the looseness and other problems, thus affecting the performance of the fiber.
3. Uneven fiber diameter
Too small length-diameter ratio will lead to poor polymer flow and easy to cause uneven fiber diameter. This will lead to the surface of the fiber rough, fiber diameter distribution and other problems, thus affecting the performance of the fiber.
