Introduction of spinneret

Spinneret is also called spinning cap. The role of the spinneret is to transform the viscous polymer melt or solution into a thin flow with a specific cross-section through the micropores, and then solidify through the solidifying medium such as air or solidification bath to form a wire strip.
According to the type and specification of fiber, there are different specifications, shapes, passes, materials and so on. Spinnerets work at high temperatures and pressures. Pressure resistance, corrosion resistance and adequate mechanical strength are required. Spinneret can be divided into: (1) ordinary type, which can be divided into melt spun spinneret (its shape is round, rectangular, fan) and wet spun spinneret (also known as spinneret cap); (2) Special-shaped spinneret, the cross-section of the spun fiber is non-circular; (3) Composite spinneret to manufacture composite fibers.
